Chrysogonus' Translation #93 - from Gail Hennessy's "you take me to the river"

kau giring aku ke sungai

kau giring aku ke sungai
di mana benak mengelus
tubuh mulusku
di mana sungai berucap
kau selalu menjadi kasihku

aku ingin berjalan buta
di mana matahari turun bagai madu
aku kenakan karung dan bulu
memakan teh dan jeruk dari Cina
setengah gila berjalan di air

you take me to the river
where your mind strokes
my perfect body
where the river tells me
you have always been my lover

I want to travel blind
where the sun pours down like honey
I am wearing rags and feathers
eating tea and oranges from China

half crazy and walking on the water.
