Kit Kelen #643 - life - get over it

643
life - get over it

your loss going on
like years felt
sunless long as day
when heart has gone

how little amounting
it is to mourn
you pool and run away

still it's the rest of us carry you
full box weight
when you're just ash

pale as if you'd been below
but sent back --  'come too soon'

you're still needed on the voyage
but everything only seems

you're stuck
like a chain the world grinds on with
oil won't take
but yes if forced it turns

it's all we won't recover from

grief - the cloud you carry

wings clipped
won't grow now

still perching here
don't know why

you grow into a grief
and it becomes the way you come
at everything

bigger than the bed you wept
there's no bird sings from this

Maudlin & Macula
a firm of solicitors
you have to get by them to breathe
there's probate

whoever lives here's
cadging street
for see me --
here's my cardboard sign
I am the one afflicted
may I live in the bottle now?

must go away
must draw the blinds

you're the last one left to wilt
cursed to have smelt the flower's scent

all news is gloom
it's world we mourn
for all selves suffer it
mis-shape

don't we live on a mountain with gods?
can't we trip down through hell, get her back?

I still ache
so I'm alive

lust to dust

here's a casket of the stuff
lie down

there's nothing soon about a death
you will never guess this riddle

one day I'll be shone with the rain
