Rob Schackne #502 - "Just you see (1)"

Just you see
three notebooks
Dirty, Next and Done
he was big enough
to write in pen
an old tent
with a view
of the edge
how long the mind
before a tree
becomes the wind
how many poems

an eye or a beak
a black crow
doesn't flinch

I lift my head
to say farewell

  1. the crow speaks long after silence - that's no way to say good bye

  2. Something very Leonard Cohen-ish about this poem & the black crow that speaks beyond the silence.
